A parent says they are logging reading but I can't see it on the teacher dashboard

If a parent says that they've been logging reading at home but you can't see it on the dashboard they could have created a child account (not linked to your school) by mistake. 

To resolve this: 

Give the parent a linking letter and ask them to complete these steps:

1. Log onto the parent app.
2. Click on settings. 
3. Click on their child's name. 
4. If the child isn't linked to the school a link to school button will appear. Ask them to click this.
5. The parent will need to enter one of the codes from the letter. (These last for 14 days.) 
6. If there is a duplicate account it'll find it at this point and ask if they want to merge the account. Make sure that they check the names match and click merge.
