QR code for logging reading in school

Based on feedback from teachers, we've also created class QR codes. (Class QR codes are live and Group QR codes are coming soon.)

Teachers will simply need to share the QR code with their class. (We recommend printing it and sticking it in the classroom, or anywhere that they'll change books.)

To do this, they'll need to go to User Management > Classes and Pupils and click on the view QR code button next to their class.

Then pupils and anyone else who wants to can select the pupils and quickly and easily add a book or log reading.

How is this different to teachers logging on the teacher dashboard?

We've removed the comment field for a slimmed down reading log and for safeguarding reasons, so children couldn't leave a message for another child, even if they wanted to.

As these are class QR codes rather than individual logins, we recommend keeping them in school, as parents can log their child's reading on their parent app.

Do you have individual logins for children?

No, there aren't individual logins for children. However, the class QR codes mean that pupils can select their name in school and either add a book or reading can be logged by them or for them.

In the next few months though, it will be possible.
