Why do some titles have random numbers in them?

When a book is searched for on Pageticker, either manually or using the barcode scanner, we use the ISBN database to find the titles. 

Sometimes the titles we have pulled from the ISBN database have numbers, or can be quite long. So every week day we check our database and edit these as needs be or shorten them. This is a manual process, so after the weekend, this can take a little bit longer.
